Arriving just before the morning activity, you’ll have the chance to observe five species of parrots, parakeets, and macaws. Following this, a trail leads to the Kichwa Interpretation Center “Kuri Muyu,” managed by local women, offering insights into Kichwa culture and opportunities to purchase local handicrafts. The excursion continues to a second parrot and parakeet clay lick through the Terra Firme Forest, where you might spot various birds and mammals. After lunch, guests return to the lodge via the main stream, enhancing opportunities for wildlife observation. The day wraps up with dinner at the lodge.
Sunrise Hike and Wildlife Viewing
After a hearty breakfast, guests set out for a thrilling sunrise hike to the observation tower in the Napo River area. Standing 36 meters high and just 30 minutes from the lodge, this tower provides a unique perspective of the forest canopy, allowing for observations of tanagers, macaws, toucans, and monkeys. Following lunch, hike through the terra firme forest, where you may encounter the elusive golden-mantled tamarin monkeys. Later, explore the lake and streams by canoe, hoping to catch sight of giant otters. The lodge features a second observation tower above the restaurant, offering breathtaking views of the lagoon. The day concludes with dinner followed by a night walk to observe insects, reptiles, amphibians, and nocturnal monkeys.
Jungle Trails and Canoeing

This morning, venture into trails winding through terra firme and swamp forests, searching for wildlife like golden-mantled tamarins, capuchin monkeys, and sloths. After the hike, return to the eco-lodge for a delightful lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, glide through streams in rowing canoes, providing more opportunities to spot unique wildlife. Experience the Amazon from the comfort of the lodge, immersing yourself in the region’s incredible biodiversity.
Adventure at Pañacocha Lake
Today, journey to Pañacocha Lake, located across the Napo River, promising a day filled with nature exploration and wildlife encounters, including the exciting possibility of spotting pink dolphins. Departing from the lodge in the morning, navigate a scenic creek for about 90 minutes, taking in the diverse wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, receive an orientation about the area and enjoy a boxed lunch either in a canoe or at a nearby lodge. Conditions permitting, take the chance to swim in the lake. The Pañacocha region is home to various species, including macaws, sloths, squirrel monkeys, black-mantled titi monkeys, capuchin monkeys, and anacondas. Return to the lodge in the afternoon. After a delicious dinner, guests can participate in a night hike to explore the nocturnal wonders of the Amazon rainforest.

Tour the school, communal areas, and one of the homes, where a Kichwa family will welcome you and share insights about their traditions. Additionally, learn about the community’s progress in education and healthcare in recent years. Lunch will be served at the Napo Cultural Center, a project managed by the community.
