Arrival in Coca – Lodge
Your journey begins with a 30-minute flight from Quito to Coca, followed by a bus ride to the Napo River pier. A motorized canoe takes you deep into the Amazon ecosystem, passing ancient communities and diverse birdlife. Upon arrival, a welcome drink and introduction set the stage before you settle into your cabin. In the afternoon, explore the surroundings or go on a canoe trip to spot primates, birds, and the rare black caiman. At dusk, embark on a night canoe excursion to observe these impressive reptiles.

Wildlife Observation
In the morning, ascend a 36-meter tower for canopy-level wildlife observation. Cross the lake by canoe to see birds like parrots and macaws, and explore a canal surrounded by flooded forests, home to howler and capuchin monkeys. After lunch and free time at the lodge’s scenic dock, take a guided walk to learn about the tropical ecosystem. At nightfall, a nocturnal walk reveals insects, frogs, and possibly nocturnal animals like armadillos and night monkeys.

Visit to the Kichwa Community
In the morning, travel to the “Parrot Clay Lick” in Yasuní National Park, where parrots gather to detoxify with clay. Next, explore Yasuní’s trails, home to unique flora and fauna, including golden-mantled tamarins and big cat tracks. Later, visit the Sani Isla Community Center, where the Sani Warmi women share traditions and medicinal plant knowledge. The experience includes an Amazon cooking class and a chance to purchase crafts, supporting the local economy. End the day with a sunset view from the lodge.
Adventure in Yasuní National Park
Enjoy a full day exploring remote lodge areas with a two-hour canoe trip across the lake and a six-hour hike along the Chorongo Long Trail, habitat to jaguars, pumas, woolly monkeys, and tapirs. Lunch in the heart of the forest, surrounded by ancient trees and diverse flora. On the way back, spot additional wildlife along the canoe route.

Return to Napo – Coca
After an early breakfast, take a final canoe ride on the Napo River, accompanied by the jungle’s morning sounds, before returning to Coca for your flight back to Quito.
