- Day 4
Day 1:
Upon arrival at the lodge, enjoy a welcoming lunch. After a brief rest, embark on a hike to a stunning 12-meter-high waterfall where you can take a refreshing dip. Along the trail, you’ll have the chance to spot medicinal plants, a lagoon, the majestic Huasquila tree, and even swing from a liana (vine).
Back at the lodge, a delicious dinner awaits, accompanied by the soothing sounds of frogs croaking from the nearby lagoon. Later in the evening, participate in an engaging chocolate-making session where you’ll learn about the entire process—from roasting cacao beans to grinding them—and savor a delightful fruit dessert.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we’ll set out on a jungle trek (approximately 3 hours) through both primary and secondary forests. En route, we’ll explore a 120-meter-long cave where you may encounter bats. Not far from there, accompanied by our native guide, we’ll visit the breathtaking 14-meter-high “Golondrinas” waterfall, where you can swim in its refreshing waters. On the return journey, stop by a guayusa plantation and processing facility.
In the afternoon, following lunch, we’ll visit a Kichwa community. Here, you’ll be invited to join in a traditional dance, learn about their rich culture, and observe the preparation of the famous chicha drink. In the evening, indulge in a dinner featuring regional specialties. Later, embark on a night walk around the lodge gardens to observe frogs, grasshoppers, insects, and—if you’re lucky—bioluminescent mushrooms, rounding off your jungle adventure.
Day 3:
After breakfast, we’ll head to Punta Ahuano for a full-day Misahuallí tour via canoe. Activities include a serene canoe ride, a hike to the towering Ceibo tree, and a visit to the Amazon Rescue Center with the option to tube down the river. We’ll also explore the caiman lagoon and enjoy a boxed lunch before boarding river transport back to the port. The day wraps up with a satisfying dinner at the lodge.
Day 4:
Savor a delicious breakfast before checking out and concluding your Amazon experience.
