Itinerary
Arrival at the Lodge
After a 30-minute flight over the Andes, a short car ride and a covered boat ride take visitors to the Yasuní Ecolodge. Upon arrival, they are greeted with a traditional Wayusa drink and informed about the lodge’s services. After settling into comfortable rooms with jungle views, guests can participate in activities such as a hike to an observation tower to view wildlife and enjoy the Amazon sunset, or a sunset kayak ride on the Napo River. Finally, they return to the lodge to refresh, rest, and have dinner.
Full Day of Activities
After breakfast, guests embark on a motorized canoe trip to Yasuni National Park to observe parrot species at a parrot clay lick. Next, they explore the Parakeet Trail, where they can see various parrot and macaw species. The morning includes a visit to the Kury Muyu cultural interpretation center, where they can learn about Kichwa culture. After lunch, a wildlife-watching excursion along the Añangu River takes place, and they cruise on a catamaran along the Napo River, enjoying legends and traditional songs while savoring snacks.
Full Day of Activities
Guests start the day with breakfast while enjoying views of the sunrise. They visit sustainable community projects to understand Kichwa cosmology and explore trails in the jungle, observing the flora and fauna. After lunch, they head to a second observation tower for birdwatching. At night, they savor a typical Amazon dinner and take part in a night hike to observe insects and reptiles.
Full Day of Activities
Upon waking, guests enjoy a delicious breakfast and venture along the Samona Trail in the high jungle. They experience the thrill of walking among century-old ceiba trees and observing monkeys and diverse wildlife. They then explore a blackwater creek and continue their adventure on nearby islands to spot birds. At night, they have the option to join a night hike or relax at the facilities.
Full Day of Activities
This exciting day begins with a boat ride to Laguna Pañacocha, where guests can observe Amazonian animals. Upon arrival, guests receive information about the area and enjoy lunch. They have the opportunity to explore the igapó forest and observe various species. At the end of the day, they return to the Yasuní Ecolodge for dinner and a night hike in the forest.
Full Day of Activities
Explorers return to Laguna Pañacocha, where they can spot pink dolphins. After an exciting 90-minute boat ride, they enjoy lunch at the lagoon and the possibility of swimming. In the igapó forest, they observe monkeys and other species. They return to the Yasuní Ecolodge for dinner and take part in another night hike.
Full Day of Activities
The day begins with a hike along the Guangana Trail, where visitors traverse habitats of various monkey species. They then head to nearby islands to explore biodiversity and spot birds such as the Hoatzin and Cocoi Heron, as well as look for capybaras in their natural habitat.
Departure Day
To conclude their experience, guests can participate in the guayusada ritual at 4:30 a.m., where the Kichwa community shares ancestral knowledge. Afterward, they enjoy breakfast before returning to El Coca in comfortable motorized canoes, appreciating the scenery of the Ecuadorian rainforest on their way back.
