160 km north of the capital Quito, in the heart of the Andes of Ecuador, POLYLEPIS LODGE is a private reserve at 3581 meters above sea level, which, through ecotourism, preserves the last millennial Polylepis forest in the world.

In addition, the Frailejón, an endemic plant of the El Ángel Ecological Reserve, provides a unique scenic beauty of the Ecuadorian highlands, where these two unique yet different ecosystems coexist in the same place.
