Papagayo Cotopaxi is a historic farmhouse with over 300 years of charm, situated along the famous “Avenue of the Volcanoes.”

Set at an elevation of approximately 3,200 meters above sea level (10,498 feet), Papagayo is the perfect base if you’re planning to acclimate and explore nearby volcanoes such as Cotopaxi, all while enjoying our cozy and comfortable accommodations.

HAY RIDE & UMBRIA FOREST

We invite you on the Paquita Tour to Umbría Forest, a unique experience to connect with nature and discover the beauty of the impressive landscapes that surround Hosteria Papagayo.

Duration: Approximately 2 hours

What to bring: Comfortable clothing, appropriate walking shoes, water, and a desire to explore.

During the tour, we will walk along fascinating trails and learn about the local flora and fauna. Our expert guide will share interesting stories and facts about the forest and its ecological importance.

BICITREN

We invite you to enjoy a unique experience with our bicitren. Travel through the most beautiful landscapes in the area while pedaling on the rails of the Ecuadorian railroad, in an ecological and fun way.

 Duration of the activity: 2 hours

 Biking distance: 6 Km

 Ages: 12 years old and up

 Included: Refreshments at the end of the activity.

TEEPEE PICNIC

We invite you to live a magical experience with our teepee picnic. Relax and enjoy a day outdoors surrounded by nature.

CLIMBING CLASSES FOR KIDS

We are excited to invite your children to participate in our climbing classes, where they will learn and have fun while developing important skills such as balance, coordination and self-confidence.

 Recommended Ages: 6-12 years old

What to bring: Comfortable clothing, sports shoes, and a desire to climb.

During the classes, children will be guided by an experienced instructor who will teach them basic climbing techniques in a safe and fun way. At the end of each session, little climbers will be able to test their new skills in a controlled environment.

HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE

At Hostería Papagayo we offer you the possibility of getting to know our property and its surroundings from a Hot Air Balloon. From the air you will be able to see the most beautiful landscapes along the famous Avenue of the Volcanoes.

From here you can enjoy an incredible view of the mountains.

NIGHT WALK WITH TORCHES

We are pleased to invite you to a night walk with torches where we will walk along trails where the liberation troops camped, a walk full of history. It is a magical experience under the stars, perfect for enjoying nature and the company of friends.

ROSE TOUR

We invite you to join our exclusive plantation tour of Ecuador’s famous roses, where you can admire the diversity and splendor of these emblematic flowers. A perfect experience for nature and gardening lovers.
